Brown Is The New Black

Brown is constantly being avoided in interior design because it is often associated with rustic, poverty, and plainness. Besides, if not properly used, a brown room will look like your grandma’s vintage living room. It is also never the color that comes to your mind when you are being asked your favorite color.

Nonetheless, brown has made its comeback these few years. It is an underemphasize yet modest color. The color evokes a sense of strength and reliability. In fact, the brown color is seen widely in nature, wood, soil, human hair color, eye color and skin pigmentation. The fundamentally earthy color provides a sense of security and stability. Brown also signals comfort and relaxation.

It is indeed a dark horse among colors. A handful of luxury brands and businesses are recognized through brown. LV, United Parcel Service (UPS), Godiva, JP Morgan and the list goes on and on.
